Course Description
This is the first training course of its kind in Riverside, San Bernardino and San Diego Counties. Sure, you've got your basic firearms training, but how will you respond in a real-life situation? Learn how to defend yourself and others against an active shooter threat before police are able to respond.
Our Armed Citizen Response to Active Shooter course will take you through a number of active shooter scenarios, such as parking lot, office/school hallways, meeting/classroom and restaurant. This is real "force on force" firearms training during heart-pounding, adrenalized, confrontations with "active shooter" instructors, where you and the instructors use the newest in non-lethal "Air-Soft" firearms training equipment to test your composure and accuracy under fire.
Learn how to barricade and fight behind cover or escape and evade an armed assailant under cover of fire. Be trained, tested and evaluated by some of the best law enforcement firearms instructors in the business.
This unique, 8-hour class is open to students who have completed the Street Safe Defensive Handgun Level I (we strongly recommend taking the Level II class as well). The class covers fundamentals of handgun manipulation, tactical reloads, shooting from the concealed carry position, scoot-n-shoot firing, moving and shooting from cover, "slicing the pie," multiple threats, barricading, shoot/don't shoot and escape and evading.
Participants MUST be 18 years or older. This course DOES NOT qualify the participant for a renewal of their CA or AZ CCW permit.
Course Instructors – All are current or retired, fully-certified, law enforcement, NRA instructors and court experts in firearms, self-defense and deadly force.
Participants MUST be 21 years or older to apply for a CCW permit.
If you are not a member at Wren's Ranch, please make sure you also purchase the $25 range fee.
The course fee includes certification of qualification with up to 2 handguns. Any additional handguns will be $35 each to certify the qualification.
If you wish to qualify with more than 2 handguns, make sure you also purchase the appropriate number of additional qualifying tokens.
